Promoted by the Associazione Artigiani di Vicenza ("Vicenza Craftsmen's Association"), the newly founded UNIT (Unione Imprese Tecnologiche "Union of Technological Enterprises") consortium brings together enterprises in the plant engineering, construction, and service sectors. This consortium is based on the conviction that only small, well-established, specialized, and reliable firms with vast local coverage can effectively and efficiently satisfy the new demands made by customers. UNIT intends to establish strategic, medium and long-term relationships based on shared objectives, resources, schemes, and agreed rules in order to integrate and optimize different services. In practical terms, the consortium aims to offer turnkey service to customers, who can count on qualified and coordinated workmen.  Furthermore, they will interface with just one counterpart, a consortium technical director who can evaluate work loads, schedule work, and assure quality.
